Today's Saint: St. Francis tried to live the Gospel message of simplicity literally: Do not be weighed down by possessions. Do not tarry. Preach the Gospel. Spread peace. Do not engage anyone in conflict. Not all Christians can live with the heroism of St. Francis, but we must strive always for detachment from whatever leads us astray.
