Feast of St. Thomas, Apostle


Today's Saint: Thomas is absent when the risen Christ appears to the Apostles. He does not believe their account of seeing the Lord, thus earning the nickname “doubting Thomas.” He further goes on to place stipulations to his believing that the Lord has risen. Thomas wants to place his finger in the nail marks and his hand into Christ’s side, or he will not believe.
